Glad he isnt directing now. I love RR but he is really better off doing his own movies and his own thing instead of trying to adapt someone elses pre-exsisting material. Personally though, they dont need to reboot predator. Cool thing is they got a planet of them and they can hunt anyone, anywhere on earth so they got plenty to work with.

It says it's "being penned as a sequel". Things are looking up for this. Hope it gets a hard 'R' rating. My main issue with AVPR was how goddamned DARK the whole movie was! Couldn't make out any of the action. Shine some lights on this one, boys! I know you've got the budget.

could this be what we were waiting for since the 1990? a third predator? awesome that this isn't a remake,lets hope they get a good director, no more avp b.s., and yes an R rating is a must, lots of swearing and blood, automatic weapons,wristblades and plasma cannons!BRING IT!

Bleh... If there isn't a true star to go up against Predator(s) -- forget it. Arnold had so much to do with the original's awesomeness.

The sure love Fast-tracking movies these days. I just hope this is as enjoyable as the old one.

Im up for this. Would be good if RR does direct. Think Planet Terror style gore and action mixed with a bunch of Predators !

As long as this is billed as a "Sequel" im ok, but like a few people have stated- you cant re-make something thats perfect already.

Ohh and P.S..if they have the main character utter the words "Your'e one ugly mother...." Or have a wannabe of my boy Jesse and Ol' Painless, im walkin out.

this SHOULD be alright, now the predators will be the bad guys again. AVP ruined it by makin em all nice and crap.

Hopefully this will redeem the Predators from the bad AVP rap they've gotten. (Although I enjoyed them both in a stupid, mindless action movie kinda way) I was completely in love with the first two Predator movies growing up and it would be nice to see them ripping out spines and polishing skull trophies again.

Yeah the fact that they said its a sequal is all I need. I'll be there for sure. I love the Predator fanchise...AVP...not so much but to see another stand alone Predator film, Im so there!!

I am so looking forward to this movie. Its gonna be like "Aliens" in jungle. AvP was campy stuff that was fun (at least when the creatures showed up) but was so behind the solo-movies of Alien and Predator. I hope they can find someone as charismatic as Schwarzenegger was in the original Predator or Biehn was in "Aliens" for the lead role. But Predator back in the jungle is fucking awesome. And if Rodriguez is behind this they wont give us some PG-13 crap. make this thing unrated!! And then do a sequel for "Aliens" hehe.

This is interesting: a "reboot sequel." Rather than starting from scratch and remaking the original, they're saying, "Yeah, we know those AVP movies sucked royally, so here's a real sequel." So, it's a reboot in the sense that it ignores the sequels and does not have to maintain continuity with that mess of a plot, but it's still a sequel to the original. I like it. I wish they would do this more often. Candyman could be another good candidate for this type of reboot sequel. Or Alien, ignoring everything after part 2 (or maybe 3). Or Hellraiser, ignoring everything after 2. I hope this does well and starts a new trend to replace remakes.

So reboot... it's this century's word for remake. Got it.
