From Mutants to Ghosts, Jackman Heads to Horror (Kinda)

There are so many family-esque horror films announced and I never know whether or not to cover them. I figure, a movie called Monsters vs Aliens would have enough monsters to cover, but I never can tell until I see some one sheets or the trailer. Such the case with Mr. Wolverine's new project, a film by the name of Ghostopolis, which you can read all about inside. What do you think, should I cover?

Hugh Jackman is moving from mutants to ghosts as the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" star is attached to "Ghostopolis," an upcoming graphic novel from Doug TenNapel that the author recently set up at Disney. Jackman will produce through his Seed Prods., as will the Gotham Group.

The story centers on a man who works for the government's Supernatural Immigration Task Force. His job is to send ghosts who have escaped into our world back to Ghostopolis. When a living boy accidentally is sent to the other side, the agent must team with a female ghost (and former flame) to bring him back.

No director or writer has been attached to the project.

Casey Wolfe is overseeing for Disney.

TenNapel's graphic novels are in high demand as movie projects, with nearly all of them set up at studios. His dinosaur tale "Tommysaurus Rex" is set up at Universal, "Creature Tech" at New Regency and "Monster Zoo" at Paramount.

Gotham, which produced last year's release "The Spiderwick Chronicles," recently set up the young-adult novel "Spanking Shakespeare" at Paramount. The company also reps TenNapel.

Not that this has much to do with anything, but god Wolverine was bad.

dunno, I mean Monster House could fit in the same category while I found it very effective as a scary film.

I think this should be covered. It's obviously not horror, but it sounds kind of like Ghostbusters to me. And you covered/will cover Ghostbusters. Plus, you're covering "Where The Wild Things Are" which is probably farther from horror than this. So, yes. Cover it.

This seems to be horror.

They're not not covering horror movies because this is being covered.

Disney should NEVER be mentioned on this site. Kind of like reviewing a steak restaurant on a vegetarian website.

I think you should cover it for a while. If it is as scary as Hannah Montana then drop it.

Little narrowminded are you? And Wolverine fucking rocked! They just fucked up the Deadpool thing but apart from that the movie was great. And I know my shit. I read Wolverine and X-Men comics for 18 years.

Slapyou beat me to it. You DO cover Twilight, and that's teen romance garbage. The only thing horror about Twilight is how horrible it is. I think this should be covered. It sounds like it's on the same line as Hellboy, which is more action/horror than horror horror.

I got two titles for ya: "Ghost" and "The Ghost Whisperer". If you would have covered those, well, yeah, go for it. But I wouldn't.
