Two New Images From French Film ‘The Pack’
Alongside The Horde, one of the other French horror films I’m uber-excited for is Franck Richard’s The Pack, which comes from the same production company behind Inside (La Fabrique Films). With Cannes only weeks away, new art and stills from all of these movies are finding their way online. While we brought you the first ever image from Pack, beyond the break you can check out two more. Hopefully we’ll see a trailer later this month.
In the middle of a snowy no man’s land, Charlotte picks up Max, a hitchhiker; they stop in a truck-stop restaurant, and when Max doesn’t come back from the bathroom, Charlotte starts looking for him in vain. She decides to return during the night but gets kidnapped by the bartender, La Spack, who turns out to be Max’s mother and needs to feed her kids, – The Pack -, a bunch of blood lusting ghouls. Charlotte now faces a terrifying reality: these ghouls are already dead… and hungry. Alone and in the middle of nowhere, she quickly realizes… she’s next on the menu.

When the project was originally announced, Christina Hendricks was set to star in Reckoner, but Deadline lets us know that Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) has taken over the leading role.
The site reports this afternoon, “Prometheus and Constellation star Rapace is replacing Christina Hendricks who is no longer attached due to scheduling conflicts, we understand.”
Nissar Modi (Z for Zachariah) is writing and directing Reckoner.
“The plot will follow an affluent woman whose carefully constructed life is disrupted by a young man connected to a tightly-held secret from her past.”
The film is based on a short story written by Rachel Ingalls.
XYZ Films and Two & Two Pictures are producing.
“We are immensely excited to join forces with an exceptionally talented team for Reckoner. It is an honour to have Noomi Rapace on board to complement Nissar’s electrifying directorial debut,” Two & Two Pictures said in an official statement shared by Deadline today.
