In an article over at Variety, they revealed Ryan Kavanaugh's Relativity Media has reached a multi-year output deal with Lionsgate covering up to five movies a year, one of which is the supernatural thriller Season of the Witch. The film is directed by Dominic Sena and stars Nicolas Cage, Ron Perlman and Claire Foy in the story of 14th Century knights transporting a girl suspected of being the witch who has spread the Black Plague. Word here in Hollywood is that this script is f*cking awesome. The project marks Relativity’s first film in its output arrangement with Charles Roven's Atlas Entertainment.
I completely get Cage's appeal- he's just let himself go so terribly. What's the last GOOD movie he made? Hopefully this will bring his true potential back, because he is capable.
is it bad that i saw the words 'season of the witch' and assumed it was a remake of halloween 3 ? hahaha
