Quaid Responds to Kessler in New 'Dread' Viral

The viral campaign for Anthony DiBlasi's Dread continues this weekend as we've received an angry letter from Quaid in response to a letter we posted from Kessler. Maybe you can piece it all together? An adaptation of a Clive Barker story, Dread is a psychological thriller centering on three college students who study other people’s fears. As the study progresses, one of the students begins to seek salvation from his obsession by exploiting the terrors of his fellow participants.

FUCK kessler! He's just pissed because his daughter is one of my models... and because he's part of the establishment - like all the rest... nation, family, church, law, all cheats and chains and suffocation. You just wait, Stephen. They'll see it, they're all gonna fuckin' see it. Sit tight.

Dread was always one of my favorite of the Books of Blood. As a film buff, I always wanted to adapt that movie myself... I'm anxious to see how this turns out... Just think, in a couple years, we may have a whole Books of Blood anthology... Here's hoping for In the Hills, the Cities...

Dread was the first Barker short story I read, and have been addicted ever since. I have all his books, and am a HUGE fan. Can not wait for this movie.

Dread is one of the best from the Books Of Blood so cannot wait to see how this turns out. Fingers crossed we see adapts of Skins Of The Father and Son Of Celluloid

Son of Celluloid would be great. And a decent version of Rawhead Rex

In the Hills In The Cities will be SICK to watch visually.. I loved Dread, but im worried about how good it will adapt. Its a very minimalist story. I need to pick up books 3-6 now..ive only read the first 2. werd

Werd5150... I have the Books of Blood collection which includes 1-3. I think the remaining three books are In the Flesh, The Inhuman Condition, and Cabal. All of them are fantastic. They also adapted a lot of his works in graphic novel format, collected in an anthology called Tapping the Vein. Some excellent artwork in those... The more Clive Barker the better. It's hard to believe that so few adaptations of his works exist considering how original and groundbreaking his writing is.
