Updated casting inside. Some interesting news came into us this morning that when we called to confirm, sounded like it was a hot project. As I await an official confirmation call, we learned that Brad Anderson is currently developing his next project Vanishing on 7th Street, which reminds me of the Dean Koontz book "Phantoms". Read on for the skinny and to see who is attached to star!
Previously titled "THE DARKNESS", VANISHING ON 7TH STREET is an apocalyptic thriller/horror about a group of people who must avoid darkness to stay alive.
Updated 12:23pm John Leguizamo (The Happening, Land of the Dead) and Thandie Newton (2012) are confirmed casting, while Timothy Olyphant (The Crazies, The Perfect Getaway) and Forest Whitaker (Repossession Mambo) were previously attached.
Here's the official plot crunch: Following a mysterious blackout, most of the population vanishes into thin air. As the remaining survivors converge in a small tavern to figure out what happened, the darkness returns to claim them one by one.

Out of all the movies you selected for the other 3 cast members, where was Crash? Where was Scream 2 or Hitman? Where was every other good Forrest Whittaker movie out there? I get it, new movies coming out, but you can't recall an actor from a movie you haven't seen yet.
This looks interesting though.
