I always thought Nick Stahl would make a great David and maybe Emily Mortimer as Amy. I'm less worried about this remake knowing its from the writers of The Shield though.

Nice idea about Nick Stahl above,I think Marsen is a little too pretty for Hoffmans character. Moving the story to America is a typical approach I guess, but doesn't piss me off as much as I thought it would. I wonder how they're going to deal with THAT scene though, I mean its one of the best parts of the original, and its played out so well. Here's hoping...

Hacks have to remake classics these days to validate their careers. Dipdoodle can't even write/direct something original but similar, like Lakeview Terrace. How original to go to the deep South for violent rapists, since there's none in LA or anywhere else. Whatever.
