We just got our hands on the first ever clip, along with a brand new hi-res still from Michael Cuesta's Tell Tale, which stars Josh Lucas, Lena Headey, Brian Cox, Beatrice Miller, Dallas Roberts and Ulrich Thomsen. Premiering at the ongoing Tribeca Film Festival, the project was inspired by the classic Edgar Allan Poe story "The Tell-Tale Heart." The contemporized adaptation sees Lucas starring as a single father whose recently transplanted heart leads him on a frantic search to find the donor's killer before a similar fate befalls him.
I don't like that Edgar Allan Poe's story can some how be connected to the synopsis of this movie.
Unless I've completely forgotten what the "Tell-Tale Heart" is about... "vulture eye"
Cuesta is a great director, this clip gives me no reason to believe he won't make a great film here. Though i'm in agreement with WhiteMass, the plot has absolutely nothing to do with Poe. Does however sound a hell of a lot like Eric Red's Body Parts.
Looks good, and I'll definitely see it, just not sure how often I'll be thinking about the tell tale heart while watching it. Which is fine by me, as long as the movie's good.
