Wolverine Producer Hints at 'Constantine 2' Possibilities

A short news brief that's pretty exciting. During an interview with Sci Fi Wire, Wolverine producer Shuler Donner hints that we still might get that sequel to Constantine we've been dying for. When asked for a status update, she replied, "Looks very good. Thinking about it. Looking for a writer." Suffice to say it's still a long ways out, but at least they're actively looking for a writer. Based on the DC/Vertigo comic book "Hellblazer" and written by Kevin Brodbin, Mark Bomback and Frank Capello, "Constantine" tells the story of irreverent supernatural detective John Constantine (Keanu Reeves), who has literally been to hell and back.

Well I'm excited for more Keanu Reeves. I hope there's a sequel film like this needs a sequel and it better have Keanu Reeves in it or it may leave a bad taste in my mouth and turn me off looking at the first film. I don't care what people say 'Constantine' was a good watch!

The first one was one the most boring films I have seen in the theater. Please don't make any more 'Constantine' films.

Oh, it changed more than a few details from the comic book, but Constantine ranks high on my list of favorites. Few things in life trump Gavin Rossdale as a demon in human form. Make it happen, monkeys in the back!!

I really liked the first one with one exception, I loathed where he flipped the finger, somehow it irritated me, but would love a sequel.

I really dug the first one, and I hope they find a way to do this right.

exciting? really? which part? the part about the producer of a mediocre movie still working? or the possible development of a bland franchise?

constantine was just atrocious, like all around awful, hopefully they figure out a formula to make the sequel less painful to watch.

I'm not exactly sure about what part of the original warrants a sequel, but lord knows that with the number of times I've seen the first one (willingly), I'll probably still the a second. Just don't know who they'd bring in this time just to kill off. Plus, after using Lucifer, Mammon, and Gabriel all in the original, what sort of demon or angel could they use to top that?

Nonetheless,I loved the first movie and thought it was one of keanu's best movies he has ever acted in.So yeah,I support them if they do it but they better have mr reeves back otherwise i dont give a damn for it.

been waiting for a sequel ever since watching the 'first' movie for the 4th time ;) :)) and there would be plenty of comics material to base the script on... personally I'd choose Paul Jenkins' 'Last Man Standing' and 'How To Play With Fire' series... but it would be difficult to adapt the Arthur/Myrddin plot to LA ;) anyway, the basic story should revolve around the fox/butterfly/fox tarot cards and their story... but I digress . comics fans will know what I'm rambling about ;) :))
