Bukowski
Have you even stopped to consider why Bruce really might have turned it down? Lets look at this example.
Thomas Jane loved being the Punisher. He fought and fought for there to be a sequel. Then the script finally came around, he heard about the direction it wanted to go on...and realized this wasn't something he wanted to be apart of. He didn't want to make that type of movie so he pulled out.
Bruce enjoyed being Elvis. He felt it was an honor to work with Ossie Davis, and enjoyed the movie. He knows even non Bruce campbell fans liked the movie. He even said in the beginning he wanted to do a sequel. Maybe he turned it down because he didn't like the script, maybe he is busy with Burn Notice, but I'm sure bruce has his reasons. From the man who made "My name is Bruce" for the fans, he's not turning his back on us.
Further more, you should be ashamed of yourself. Have you even ever sat down and watched Burn Notice? Its action packed, Bruce plays the perfect character as Sam Axe, and its a hell of a good show. This show has made Bruce campbell more popular, and its not cause he's a sell out, its cause he's damn good in it. More fans are coming up to him now saying hey you're the burn notice guy instead of the Evil dead guy. He likes it. You can't limit a guy's career just to one genre. To limit him to only horror is a disappointment. Hell Bruce campbell was the only good thing about Spiderman 3, and it had nothing to do with horror.
Lay off of Bruce. He's still the man, and he always will be. And lay off of Burn Notice. Since all you did was say it "sucked ass" you obviously havn't watched it. Jeffery Donovan has gone to stardom because of that show, and Bruce's done great on it. USA has a goldmine here.
And finally, since I'm in such a fantastical mood, see how well I made my point? Whether you agree or didn't agree doesn't matter to me, other commenters will read it. But how many times did I type FUCK? once...right there...to make a point. Calm down, shut up, and just let things be.
Oh and as for the article itself, I think Ron Pearlman can pull this off. No one else could.
