Warner Bros. Pictyures also released a brand new hi-res image from Dominica Sen's adaptation of Whiteout, which stars Kate Beckinsale, Gabriel Macht, Tom Skerritt, Columbus Short and Alex O'Loughlin. In the film arriving in theaters September 11 (after years of delay), Carrie Stetko, the lone U.S. Marshal assigned to Antarctica, is investigating the continent's first murder, which draws her into a shocking mystery. Now, with only three days until winter, Carrie must solve the crime before Antarctica is plunged into darkness and she is stranded with the killer.
I think this plot sounds really good. I like the idea of using a place that has months of darkness, like they did with "30 Days of Night". It really adds to the creepiness.
The opening date on this film has been changed so many times it is ridiculous! I am looking forward to it for one reason: ALEX O'LOUGHLIN!
