I've been sitting on this for a few days because it doesn't appear it be "new", but I guess it is. If you click here you can watch the DVD/Blu-ray trailer for Trick 'r Treat, which I believe features less footage from the original trailer from year's ago. Directed by Michael Dougherty, the film features four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; and a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband. This movie should've come out on theater first! Well, at least we'll finally get to see it!! Though, it would've been nice to see this movie spawn a new "horror anthology" franchise like Creepshow back int he 80s. It's been a while since we had one of those(Creepshow 3 doesn't count).
this is ridiculous, if it is as good as they say it shouldnt take friggin 3 years to release it...Am i excited to see it? YES but its pretty stupid that it would take this long.
Looks like it could go either way. And saying it's the best Halloween movie in thirty years would imply that it's better than Night of the Demons 1 and 2, Ernest Scared Stupid, Ginger Snaps, Donnie Darko, Scream, House of 1,000 Corpses and Idle Hands which I find hard to believe.
It pisses me off to no end that they are fucking this over and not giving it a theatrical release (even if they do it won't be a proper one if they're already announcing the DVD coming out in October) when it would so obviously be a hit. WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY THINKING? It looks awesome and I want the chance to see it on the big screen. It would have been fun seeing in theaters in October. This is a wasted opportunity!
This is not the best Halloween film of the last 30 years, not even close. Lame trailer = lame movie. I saw a free screening of it here in NYC and didn't enjoy it whatsoever. Especially after hearing all the rave reviews, I was so disappointed. That's why it was never released in theaters.
October is so far away. But I guess it is the best month to release this. But it should have been October 2007 when the fucker was raking in great reviews from film festivals. Stupid Warner Brothers. Bugs Bunny can suck my dick too!
It's about F-ing time!!! I'm going to buy this the first day it comes out!
