A brand new viral video was posted today from the "unknown film", although this one straight out refers to "Donnie Darko's death", which makes it pretty clear that these are for Fox Home Entertainment's forthcoming S. Darko: A Donnie Darko Tale, which now streets on May 12. The story picks up seven years after the first film (and Donnie's death) when little sister Samantha Darko and her best friend Corey are now 18 and on a roadtrip to Los Angeles when they are plagued by bizarre visions.

This can go one of two ways..epic fail OR innovative sequel. Knowing the history of most sequels I am betting on epic fail.

Well, that was fucked up.

They have me blocked on all their Youtube videos. Since I figured out the first viral video was related to S.Darko just minutes after watching it. I really hope the film turns out better than their marketing of it.

Weird marketing for a film that truly isn't about UFO but was clearly about time riffs. HMMMM> But I still fuckin digged it.

Rollstuhlwolf: I saw at least some of your comments on the first one before they got deleted. Gee, you think maybe, just maybe, they got deleted because you were saying crap like you hoped the makers of the thing got cancer and died a horrible death, and not because you were smart enough to figure out what it was for? Since there are plenty of other comments there that suggested it was for darko and didn't get deleted, I'm gonna say yes. Stop acting like a put upon hero.

Dear Stintsy, Do not quote me out of context or without reading the entirety of what is written. Until then kindly go back to jerking off to pictures of Richard Kelly and fisting yourself with a replica Donnie Darko action figure. With deepest respect, your fellow message board commenter, Rollstuhlwolf.

Quoting you "out of context"!? "The entirety of what is written"!? Ahhh, so there was CONTEXT for you saying the people who made the video should get cancer and die, I see. I guess that daring to make something you don't like is "context". Part of what was so shocking about your comments, and why I remember them so well, is because they were so out of left field and uncalled for. There was no "context" to rationale people for you to have said such crap. Again, stop playing the victim.

well i will say that im at least interested in the movie now, whereas i completely dismissed it when it was announced. maybe this'll surprise us and be good.

You're all victims. Of bad marketing and being lulled into the idea that mediocrity, banality, and comments like Stintsy's are somehow clever, entertaining, or relevant to anything. Enjoy chocking on Satan's scaly dick being jabbed down your esophagus? Then this viral marketing campaign is for you! Act now, don't delay, and remember... You're never as smart as the people who tell you what they derived from the 3 or 4 lines they saw on a YouTube comment section. I won't go on though, as I know Stintsy has a MENSA meeting to get to. Or NAMBLA... but I'm sure it is one of the two.

Wow. You're nuts! Like, clearly insane. It's kind of interesting to watch in a way, but no, I'm not going to tap on the glass.

But I will say what I find most amusing: first, back in the youtube comments, you decried the dumpster footage because it contained violence to children, and then in practically the same breath, said the makers of the video should be crushed to death and/or die of terrible cancer (yeah, I know, I'm "quoting you out of context"; I'm sure you meant they should die of cancer in a good way). And here, you go from one sentence complaining that you're being judged by 3 or 4 lines in youtube comments, to the very next sentence, somehow coming to the conclusion that I'm a NAMBLA member by my few lines here. Rollstuhlwolf, hypocrite? Nahhhhh...

Well, I have to admit some confusion...I somewhat liked the video, but on the actual youtube comments it says that the audio is screwed up at the end. (Which is obvious.) Is that part of the marketing, or is it honestly screwed up due to actual technical problems? That might be a stupid question, but I'm not sure what the hell we are supposed to get from that. If it was supposed to create an air of mystery or creepiness, I found it vastly more annoying than anything.
