Michael Myers Shows His Homeless Side in New 'Halloween 2' Image

Writer-director Rob Zombie posted today yet another brand new image from his forthcoming Halloween 2 that features Michael Myers (Tyler Mane) wearing a hoodie and looking quite homeless. He also took some time out of his post work to answer some fan mail, all of which can be found beyond the break. The new film hitting theaters August 28 picks up right as the first remake ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers' murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted. Watch this spot for the trailer any day now.

"Another question that seem to have been asked quite a bit is about the mask," Zombie writes on his blog. "Their have been reports and rumors that he only wears the mask 25% of the time or not at all.

Well, the truth is the movie is just now being edited so the exact percentage of mask wearing is unclear at this point. But fear not, Michael is seen wearing the mask as much if not more than you've ever seen him wearing a mask in any Halloween film. As seen below. Enjoy.

um..... usually he wears the mask 99.9 % or so each film so i would guess that was his answer? maybe shots from behind or obsured side views but there's no way that adult Michael will be given a face....

I think this looks great, dingy and fucking ghastly as hell! Personally I want to see Myers sans the mask, with that crazy beard! u see his human shell, but thats all it really is. He's not a supernatural monster, just a soulless killer who wears the same skin as the people he kills. This movie will really turn the halloween franchise on its head!

I never thought I would see the day that it would stoop to this level. A homeless looking Michael Myers. I am sorry but for lack of a better word I am just outraged. Thankfully Halloween was never my favorite mainstream horror flick or else I would actually be a little pissed.

i think people are too worried about maskless mike. there is no way they would keep it off for most of the movie.

I dont really know how people can be outraged , its not like its their creation or anything and zombie has to do things differently or else we'll just end up with the same old slasher film that we've already seem 5000 times. It seems like people are getting pissed over the film being different from the previous ones, but isnt that the idea of a sequel?

Man this is so different than how we have known MM to look aver the years. I accept the new look and the mask looks sick. I like how out of all the masks he can wear he still chooses this ol beat up one. The mask is more significant in RZ version than any other. Great pic!

That looks great. I love the weathered condition of the mask. It's old, rotten and falling apart as it should be.

Looks great...and I'm happy to hear that maskless Mikey won't take over this film...the mask IS Halloween...

Why do people care that he looks homeless? Hello! He is homeless! It isn't like he gets his clothes dry cleaned, scrubs his mask and takes a shower. This is how I would think he would look like. Great job Zombie.

I like it.I'm more up for this one than the last.Mainly because I have grown to respect Zombie and his view. It's a reboot not the same Michael.Once you realize that you can enjoy this a lot more!

I think he looks creepier now than he has in a very long time. Michael has always been homeless, but not he at least looks it. Michael is the opposite of everyone else on Halloween. People are their true selves all year round, being who they really are, while Michael has to hide behind a mask of humanity. Then, on one night, when everyone else is pretending to be ghosts and goblins, Michael can be his true self. Just as a child may crudely glue some hair to his hands and face and say he's a werewolf, Michael's attempts at appearing human" are equally crude. I love this deeper Michael. The new elements of him do not detract from his mystery, but only raise more questions, really, so I don't see how they're detracting from the mystique of Michael Myers. Oh, and as for the "Gangsta Michael" crap, make up your fucking minds. Is he white trash, or a wannabe gangsta? Seriously, hoods, or even hoodies for that matter, don't make a person gangsta no more than long hair and a beard makes someone white trash. Some guy named Jesus wore both, and that fucker still hasn't shut up, and he's been dead for 2000 years, but no one's going to say he looks gangsta or white trash are they? I rest my fucking case.

It's ironic how Rob Zombie takes a stale franchise. Halloween:Resurrection is one of the worst films I have ever seen. Rob Zombie reinvents the franchise and creates something fresh and yet people hate the remake and those people who may or may not like the new film will hate it regardless. I loved his Halloween, I think the original is a classic. But Rob Zombies version doesn't hurt the reputation of the original it just makes it a stronger film, thus making the original an actual classic and tent-pole in horror films.

"Michael has always been homeless" -- Yes, that's why the original tagline is "The Night He Came Home"... ;)

This movie is gonna rock!! I love reading the comments of people who are so pathetic, that all they have to do all day long is keep coming back here to reply to comments made about they're own comments! lol Log off the internet and get a girlfriend, or at least go outside and learn social skills ;) Rob Zombie has bought the Halloween franchise back from the dead. Carpenter's version was ok at best... Zombies version is WAY better.

"It's ironic how Rob Zombie takes a stale franchise. Halloween:Resurrection is one of the worst films I have ever seen. Rob Zombie reinvents the franchise..." -- ...by nicking the abused Michael backstory from 'Resurrection'. Rob, you scamp.
