I'm stoked about this movie. Love how Ti decided to set it in the early 80s on opposed to yet another modern horror movie was with douchebag characters and MySpace references. 80s was the best time for horror(particularly slashers)! I'm glad this isn't self-awared 80s movie like The Wedding Singer. It's annoying when people do things like that. Setting this movie in the early 80s is the best move, though. It wasn't until later in the decade that the whole "sterotypes" popped up. Y'know, the big hair thing and extreme use of neon clothing. Early 80s is the perfect time to not be affected by the later 80s stereotypes, yet show what the beginning of the 80s was like.
