looks like a low-budget arthouse type movie...always like Dafoe though. probably give it a spin on dvd unless something revelatory comes about

it doesn't lack blood and gore, not shown in the trailer though. dafoe and gainsbourg play very good. a must-see for arthouse-horror freaks, heh

I'll be honest, I'm mostly turned off by religious/demonic based horror because you typically have to already believe in the devil or evil spirits in order for to find it interesting. Since I'm not a superstitious idiot I'm usually turned off by them, BUT, there are a few exceptions... I like The Exorcist for example because the story is more about Father Damian and his struggle with faith in the face of a utter chaos than it is a demon possessed little girl. The Omen is about our fear of the corruption of power and the veiled intentions of those we give power to. All of these films explore the psychological aspect of it. When the sequels came out however much of this was lost and with the exception of The Exorcist III (which I think is just as brilliant as the original) most of them quickly became a joke. Basically I just want to say that it makes me happy that someone seems to be taking the genre seriously again.

Damn that was really good. My arm hairs stood up the whole time during that trailer. I'm not usually one to judge too quickly, but I think this movie looks to be one of the better horror films of recent memory. Never can tell though, until the movie actually comes out!

Yeah, looks cool, but Von Trier's films always seem better before you see them, and then they're just a big mess (i.e. Breaking the Waves, Dogville etc.)Dafoe and the divine Charlotte will still bring me out, though.

Who knows, I'm ready to be pleasently surprised. I like Willem Dafoe, he makes anything creepy. As for the Satan stuff, not too into the religious horror but if they can put of some good scares it might be interesting.

Looks wonderful. Can't wait to check this one out. Although, I would agree that the art-horror movies tend to disappoint.

WOW! This seems AMAZING! Could be quite terrifying if done right, and I trust it will be coming from Von Trier. I can't believe how great it looks. Of course, if it weren't from him this trailer wouldn't have me as excited. But since it is it seems brilliant. Dogville is a favorite of mine.

this is not a remake of Alberto De Martino' s Antichrist. For me this film looks to ink the screen exquisitely with the word horror, horror is across the dinner table, it hides in the house, it is very close, very secretive and invisible. Let's not place this film within the horror genre. The trailer is magic, has a similar ambience to Possession directed by Andrzej Zulawsk. Hopefully it is pure evil. Can't wait for this !
