Good to have her on board for this movie. Who doesn't love Elisabeth Shue? (I mean, besides Daniel-san!)

Even as a big homo I love her, but I'm disappointed that she took this role. I've always hated this concept and can't stand the original or the first remake.

Am I the only one hoping she'd look at one of the piranhas to say "don't fuck with the sheriff?" (Adventures in Babysitting used to be one of my favorite movies. Especially the opening scene.)

I enjoyed the original Piranha as much as you can for a B-picture. Matter of fact, even Steven Speilberg remarked that Pirahna was his favorite Jaws rip-off. These are the types of films that should be remade because there is room for improvement. It's not like going into it as you would Halloween, Psycho or Black Christmas, all classics for the genre. With Aja as director, the 3-D aspect and Elisabeth Shue with a role, I'm liking this more and more. If they market this right and open it in the summer, it could be a big hit! And Adventures in Babysitting is awesome!

This sounds like it will be awesome, especially with Aja as the director. Loved his "Hills" remake. One of the few I thought was better than the original. It's gonna be bloody, gory, kick ass fun.

i just hope they dont go to overboard with the cgi stufff, i think using alot of practical effects for up close is a smart choice and hopefully they dont just use all cgi piranha because for the most part cgi can ruin a film, take i am legend for example, i felt it was a prettty solid film but was ruined and never watched a second time by me because of the horrific CGI effects that were very uneffective.

I had a big crush on Shue back in the day (Adventures In Babysitting RULED!!!). I haven't seen her in awhile so it's nice to know that they got an attractive, Mature actress to handle the role. Gotta go as practical as they can with the FX though. I know there has to be some CGI but it should be used to augment the physical effects not supplant them.....

Oh, Elisabeth Shue! That dancing scene still gives me that funny feelings I had when I first seen it back in the 80s! Lovely lovely Elisabeth Shue! Loved the fact that she always bit down on her bottom lip in the Karate Kid. Wonder why girls don't do that type of thing anymore. It was so hot! Molly Ringwald used to do that a lot!!! I've wandered off a bit, but that's what the vid did to me! Teehee.....

The Puppet Master remake will dominate. Killer fish are played out.

The family guy where Chris and the gas station guy talk about her is so true. She is a under used sexy as hell good actress. Hamlet 2, I want to make babies with that woman.

HORRORFAN1988, i could maybe see Elisabeth also singing "the PIRANHA sitting blues"!! i LOVE ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING!! and even though i'm thrilled the movie is getting a really good actress, (who i LOVE too by the way!), this movie just doesnt seem like her but maybe (and i DO NOT mean this in a bad way!) work is work.
