Three for three, that's pretty damn good. Thus far I've seen three Jack Ketchum adaptations (Red, The Lost, The Girl Next Door) and have enjoyed all of them, quite a bit actually. Next up is Offspring, the first (that I'm aware of) that Ketchum actually adapted for the big screen. Today we posted our exclusive one-on-one interview with the legendary horror author that can be read by clicking here. In the film directed by Andrew Van Den Houten, survivors of a feral flesh-eating clan are chowing their way through the locals. Amy Halbard and Claire Carey strive to survive their abduction by the cannibals and save their children. A subplot involving Claire's despicable husband, Steven, gives an opportunity to cleverly compare predatory civilized folk to the appetite-driven primitives.
Amen, I to have seen those three and they were all very good. Looking forward to this being the same. Cannibals, mm yummy. I didn't watch the trailer though i like to see the movie first.
I hope they cover what happens in off season in this movie somehow. there are parts that need to have light shed on them for them to make sense. but who knows maybe jack is just wrote the screenplay as a combo of both books. its looks promising i dig both books a whole bunch.
why does it sound like hills have eyes? the only thing remotely the same is the word "CANNIBAL". these people aren't deformed they are just crazy. the story itself is way better anyway IMO.
Off Season ball got dropped by some loser. Check out the interview with Ketchum in BD interviews. Its no more Hills Have Eyes than than Laid to Rest is Friday the 13th. Similar but not really. Tribe was gonna be nude - production of that got shut down, thus the cannibal outfits. Still looking forward to seeing them wear the chopped off breasts. Trailer looks sweet Cathedral - if you read the book you should check out the trailer - looks very well adapted, like right out of your mind.
