Continuing his unusual hype for Halloween 2, writer-director Rob Zombie has posted another commercial for "Uncle Coffins' Creature Double-Feature," a commercial we might see in the background of the latest Michael Myers opus arriving in cinemas August 28th from Dimension Films. "We just unearthed another vintage clip of Uncle Coffins. This one was buried beneath a pile of junk in the vault's of Haddonfield's 18. Enjoy!" The new film picks up right as the first remake ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers' murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted.

... I cant believe what I just heard. I heard from rotten Tomatoess that Myers will be without his mask for at least 70% of the film.... wtf? Myers isnt myers without his mask! Honestly I was behind Zombie 100% until I heard this crap. I was digging how he was putting some life into Haddonfield and making it feel like Halloween. Now after this, idk anymore.... Btw Dimensions is trying to put the teaser trailer in front of CRANK 2

I'm a huge fan of Rob Zombies Halloween but i think all of this shit has got to go! I mean, i didn't even like Michael Myers until i saw the remake, but i can assume Michael Myers is why we wanna see Halloween. Spending to much time dicking around.

Great stuff. Rob Zombie really captured the essence of local station spook shows. I miss shows like that. I hope there's more of this in the movie.

Zombie has horrible taste. He thinks it's clever, and cool but it's neither, just like his music.

1. This DOESN'T catch the essence of local-access horror. It's trying so hard to be corny that it's not even good anymore- it's just corny in a VERY bad way. 2. Michael being without the mask throughout most of the movie sounds like a good idea if done right. But Rob Zombie made this. 3. I'm still going to watch this movie.

Ok, so let me get this straight. In the first film rob zombie didn't like myers backstory or characters. So he changed them to be more like him. And in the second film zombie has decided he doesn't much like Myer's mask either so he's gonna change it to be something he does like. Oh yeah he also doesn't like not being able to see myers face. Hmmmm, if he doesn't like anything about the original halloween movies, then why is he making a halloween movie? Oh yeah his other stupid film got canceled and he needed money.

bma1986, you've got this exactly right. The sad part is, #3 also applies. Earlier, I was hoping he would make it his own, bridge the first and second one well, and make this feel like a Halloween movie. Please, RZ, do this well. Please?

Zombie is defintely having alot of fun with this movie... Shooting must be going well if he has time to do these little related side projects. BTW... Some e-mommies need to get in here and change some of these e-diapers... The whining is getting repetitive :)

Its sad to see that the Halloween franchise is gone along with Michael Myers ... but on the bright side its good to see that " The Devils Rejects : 2 " is filming along well ...... Nothing screams Haddonfield, Mike Myers and Larie Strode more than goofy late night halloween hosts ..? Don't get me wrong I did enjoy the remake and im looking foward to H2, but seriously Rob Zombie really didn't need to use the Halloween name or Michael Myers seeing as "HIS" version of Myers, Haddonfield and the entire Halloween mythos just barely resembles the franchise ... he should have just made up his own character and mask and called it something completely different.

ummm...is it just me or does all the news ive heard about h2 have absoulutely NOTHING to do about the actual movie?

There have been several updates on the actual movie.. just not on BD. That's okay. What I read today worried me though.. apparently Michael will be without the mask for most of the movie. Basically, he's going to be a grizzly bum on a killing spree. On top of this, the score will not be used. I don't mean to be a whiner, but this is just awful news. I don't think the classic mask and theme are a lot to ask for. I'm just way disappointed.
