Thanks again to horror super fan Joey M. who was digging around and came across some early art for Darclight's Altitude, which is being directed by Kaare Andrews and stars the gorgeous Jessica Lowndes (The Haunting of Molly Hartley, Autopsy). In the film, lost in a mysterious cloudbank, a rookie pilot and her four teenage friends must contend with a freak mechanical failure that first sends their small plane climbing to an impossible height, and then plummeting through endless mist. After regaining control, the survivors are confronted with a horrifying realization - the very ground beneath them has vanished and a malevolent force lurking in the clouds wants them dead. The film teases that it's very H.P. Lovecraft inspired.

Looks like someone's been tracking my posts on IMDb, Joey ;)...I love Jessica Lowndes and I can't wait to see this movie. The poster is pretty damn cool if you ask me...love the 'tentacle' effect in the clouds. Plus, I feel bad for that dude falling out of the plane, lol.
How come you only talk about someones physical appearance when it refers to a pretty woman? And how exactly does her being gorgeous relate to her acting ability or the movie at all? Im not going to see or be interested in a woman based on what someone looks like and I highly doubt she will read that comment and say "Oh mr disgusting thats so sweet, I wanna fuck you now!". She isnt even that pretty really and to skinny, I like women that look like women and shapely.
Agreed Skratchy, we need more Lovecraftian horror!!! 2007's Cthulu really let me down and I don't think we're EVER gonna get to see The Mountains of Madness. If we can't get a real Dunwich or Call of, then hopefully we can at least get some old one inspired tentacled creepyness!
it sounds great but how much could you possibly do with it? i mean there's the first part of the film before they take off but how much will actually be in this "abyss"? i'm all for giant monsters but i don't see this one being one to remember. i'm just saying i think the the whole idea sounds great if it were going to be presented as a episodic piece.
I like so much Lovecraft but I don't know, the trailer looks very inept to me, specially that guy hanging in the door while the plane is going to crash.
