DUMB REMAKE. Looooks bad

Well I love the originals.So I will watch it to see the new spin on it but I know it can't be as good as the first two originals.Especially being PG-13.

So when are they going to release the original on DVD in the US?! 2 was available on a decent disc (I think it's out of print now), but never the original.

This guy directed Prom Night... I'm not expecting all that much from The Stepfather...

The poster reminds me of the 80's so that's a good start. I'm mostly looking forward to them releasing the original on dvd so I can own it already.

i thought prom night was watchable, so im down for the stepfather, and the poster is pretty cool.

I read parts of the script. This one stays somewhat true to the original on some levels, though there's a completely different take on this one. The ending is pretty intense. Definitely better than Prom Night.

If this means an official DVD release of the original, I'll take it! I'm sure we'll hear something any day on it. But I agree that Sony Screen Gems PG13 remakes are lame. Who wants their horror and suspense sugar-coated just so the young teenagers can see it.

It's a man against a man who's home from the military. Am I actually supposed to fear for the family, cuz it sounds like military man could kick some psycho's ass any day.

This could have been interesting, but with the director of "Prom Night" behind it it will be a disaster.

This remake will be bad no question about it. I doubt it will have the suspense and scares that the original had in spades.

terrible poster. and from the makers of the terrible prom night remake.Things arent looking good. But I love me some Amber Hard, Penn Badgeley is sexy and Dylan Walsh from Nip/Tuck is creepy and attractive as the films villain so who knows if they amp up the horror that was non existent in the Prom Night remake it may wrk out. The original Stepfather kicked ass.

what studio even owns the rights to the original i think with the remake hitting theaters it is really the only chance we'll ever get in seeing the original come to dvd fingers crossed
