Update: We've uploaded a handful of brand new hi-res images from the film inside. Regular visitors here at B-D know I'm a mega-fan of Richard Kelly's Donnie Darko, so it should be of no surprise that I've been stalking the official website for the sequel, S. Darko (trailer), which hits DVD and Blu-ray on April 28 from Fox Home Entertainment. I got frustrated this evening as the website featured only the trailer -- yet not everything is what is seems. Take some time and push your mouse around. If you force your cursor to the right you'll find AIM icons, wallpapers (rocking one now) and a slew of first images! Woo! The story picks up seven years after the first film (and Donnie's death) when little sister Samantha Darko and her best friend Corey are now 18 and on a roadtrip to Los Angeles when they are plagued by bizarre visions.
Oh noooo. Why can't they just leave well enough alone? Donnie Darko doesn't need a sequel, it doesn't make sense! Especially when it's just a repetition of the first story with different characters. Oh, I'm so depressed now.
Looks like a robotic mask and not a full suit. God, this film is going to stink. Just like The Lost Boys 2, i'm refusing to watch this as I don't want to taint my memories of a fantastic original film with a lame pointless sequel.
this is gonna suck big time :( too bad they have to milk every single movie for everything they can get out of it - sequel, prequel...hell, why not start making T-shirts and pencils with the movie logo...as fat as I remember - it proved beneficial during the 'Twin Peaks' hysteria :D :D :D
B.C. bloody-disgusting posted the trailer for S.Darko like a month or so ago. In fact, if you click the link they provided above, it goes directly to the trailer. rusted21, exactly! it looks like a robot bunny mask. =/
The original DD was inventive. I am kinda thinking that this flick will be a pale shadow of the original. But I have a little hope that this flick will expand on the original character.
My hopes are not high on this one. I'll give it a go. Suit looks like they are trying to be "scary" - which is what was awesome about "Frank" - just just WAS scary!
I agree with snuffy, why create a dd 2? it dosen't make alot of sense besides the company getting money out of it. This pis is fucking stupid and completely unintresting, they should of left dd alone.
I just don't get the Donnie Darko craze. It was alright, but c'mon, now...hell, Bubble Boy was better. And that wasn't great. Now, you wanna see Gyllenhall act- watch The Good Girl. Badass.

The outfit from the first one was way better. this one is just bad.
