I would agree it's hard to not compare what Zombie does to Carpenter's. That will happen when you touch a classic. But I would also say that he's reworked the story enough to where it's really a totally different movie, good or bad depending on your opinion. RZ has made his HALLOWEEN a more darker, violent story that is closer to today's times. I have a feeling he will raise the bar with this sequel. He knows all eyes are on him, and I think he will push this up and try and out do himself. I'm not saying that will make this good, but rather an entertaining watch regardless of the outcome. I'll take RZ's white trash version of the story ANY DAY over any shitty, laughable, non scary sequel that came in the 80' and 90's.
