Rob Zombie updated his official MySpace page today with not only a thank you to all who attended the Haddonfield Phantom Jam that was filmed the other day, but also to share with us a photo oh him and Weird Al Yankovic on the set of Halloween 2. "Be afraid... be very afraid. Weird Al rolls into Haddonfield as well Weird Al a guest of THE NEWMAN HOUR - a local talk show. The other guest that night is Dr. Loomis hawking his new book THE DEVIL WALKS AMONG US... let's just say things get weird." Read on for a look.

Mr. Zombie is certainly going his own way with this flick. This is certain to incite a chorus of whining.

of course its going to bring on the whiners, but is it really warranted in THIS case? RZ already redid Halloween. That was that. This is a sequel to HIS adaptation. As far as I can tell (from what I have read), this has nothing to do with the original Halloween's from way back when. So, to actually compare it to the first Halloween sequel is just wrong. (no?)

I said it before, I think it takes Rob his second time around with the story to really blow us away. That happened with 1,000 Corpses & Rejects!

I will defend Rob Zombie and his version(s) of Halloween to the bitter end, but he is really taking some of the fun out it. Leave some stuff for us in August! I know I sound like a broken record, but there is no need to tell us everything. Cameos are much better when they are a surprise! I'll get off my soap box now and stick to the headline. Wierd Al cracks me up! UHF is one of the funniest, wierdest films I have ever seen!

Coffin, don't read news about a movie that you haven't seen yet if you don't want it to be ruined for you buddy! secondly, RZ deserves a fair shake at this sequel because you will now see his actual interpretation of MM on the big screen. He stuck too closely to the original Halloween after he did the "re-imagining" IMO. He basically played out the original kill for kill except everyone was naked...

Sorry, dchabz, but it's kind of hard to avoid when it is on the home page in huge letters. I guess I like to see a film and enjoy the surprises, cameos, plot, etc. while I watch it and not have the whole thing laid out on the internet prior to getting my ticket. I usually avoid plot summaries, spoilers, and even reviews until I have actually seen the film. If you already know the whole story, why go? Just to sit and annoy everyone else in the theater with all the "watch this", "it wasn't like that in the script", and all the other stupid-ass comic book guy horseshit that just makes me want to choke a nerd. Yes, I agree RZ needs a fair shake with his film, but let me the fucking thing in August not Bloody-TwilightLoving-Disgusting.com in small doses. Just my opinion.

Last part of my rant should read: "...but let me see the fucking thing in the theater and not on Blood-TwilighLoving-Disgusting.com." I am sorry to rave like a lunatic there, but I hate spoilers.

4:10pm, March 26, 2009

Oh i totally agree with you Coffin, but what do you expect by logging on to a horror movie news website? haha. I stop reading this crap when they start to let plot details out....I don't mind seeing the production photos, casting news, or interviews, but when the plot starts to be announced slowly, i quit logging on until i see the movie. And I agree, I wanna see the movie in theater in total surprise, but I REALLY wish they would release the damn movie a little closer to the damn holiday it is named after!!!!!!

coffinjoe
4:44pm, March 26, 2009

dchabz: maybe I will try your suggestion. Yeah, why don't they release it around Halloween? Are they affraid of Saw VI? I wouldn't be.

pissing_lasers... He pays them in Frappuccinos. Venti's. I get what you're saying coffinjoe, but something tells me these little announcements are just a part of something big! So we'll all still be surprised opening night. I'm hoping...

lol. Weird Al... in a horror movie. Is it just me or do all big name celebs do a horror film at least once. Jack Black - I still know what you did last summer Johnny Depp - NOES Kev Bacon - Friday the 13th Paris Hilton - House of Wax Sean Bean - the Hitcher Vinnie Jones - Midnight Meat Train The list goes on! Heck, even Frankie Muniz (Malcolm in the middle) got in on Stay Alive. What is next? John Travolta in saw 6?

The news headlines that surround the making of this movie seem like a horror movie in itself.

i wana see the picture of scout as magenta that i keep hearing about. i think thats such a freaking sweet idea; i wonder whos going to dress as the "sweet transvestite" Dr. Frank N. Furter?

comfycasket
9:11pm, March 26, 2009

I agree with a lot of you. It really seems like Zombie is putting these little updates, and pics out there to cover up the plot and MAJOR things. He wants us to be distracted by these things, this way once the movie comes out, and nothing major is known, we will be completely shocked and surprised, hopefully in a good way. Why do you think we haven't seen a photo of Michael Myers yet? He's saving it, too much leaked from the last movie, we all knew every little detail, which ruined the film for me personally.

Jamie McBain

This could be pretty cool!

macho555
10:25pm, March 26, 2009

Well, I wasn't looking too forward to the sequel, but It definitely seems like he's making this unique in his own special way. What the hell, I always like new twists. After all, if I hate it, I'll just watch the original.
