Writer-director Rob Zombie updated his official MySpace with a look at Dr. Loomis's new book entitled "The Devil Walks Among Us", which he jokes will hit stores on October 31. The book is being used in the film Halloween 2: The Devil Walks Among Us arriving in theaters August 18. The new film picks up right as the first remake ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers' murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted.

Saw this book a month ago on the below web site. No offense to Mr. D. The below site should have filming pictures from the new Myer's house up today. It's the new Myers' house, because they are shooting in Georgia this time, but the house looks similar enough to pass as the same from H1. http://www.theblackbunny.blogspot.com/

Man this image brings back memories of H1.Bad memories!

yeah the book looks cool. But I would prefer if Michael would wear his classic mask on the cover instead of looking like Leatherface. I know thats Michael as an adult in the asylum but still. I wonder why Loomis hasn't learned anything though. He wrote a book in H1 to make money with this case. Then at the end of H1 he seemed to genuinely regret that capitalistic approach. And now after all these tragic events for Laurie and Michael he writes another to exploit all this for money again? Not making sense. Why has Loomis become this money-lusting guy anyway who uses these events every time to make himself famous and rich? Listen to me I am turning into one of the whining RZs Halloween-haters*lol* No,I really like his Halloween approach and I am DEFINITELY a supporter of his Halloween story and his characters but there are also a couple of things that I just don't love that much. Michaels new look in H2 (if this IS his new look, that is)for example or this greedy side of Doc Loomis.

Okay how could they get a perfect shot of micheal wearing the orange mask?

I don't think this represents a new look for Myers. Rather, it would seem to illustrate the adult MM in the hospital, as the book seems to be a follow-up to the first book which dealt with Myer's earlier years.

I watched Mothman Prophecies last night and it kept going through my mind What if Halloween was filmed in this way? They used every bit of the atmosphere to totally freak you out.You always felt like someone was watching beyond the trees or around the corner.Great actors.Truely scary like Halloween should be.

A week or so ago I saw a pic of the book in the new bookshop featured in the movie...looks pretty cool. Can't wait for it to come out!!

bleed24, one wonders why you continue to immerse yourself in those "bad memories" evoked by any mention of the Zombie Halloween. Even watching a totally different film like Mothman causes you to experience these unpleasant associations. Masochism is considered unhealthy, but you should follow your own road.

Pike,Immerse myself? What the hell r u talking about?U try so hard to make yourself look intelligent on this site. Its not working. One wonders why u contiue adress me,because i hav no interest in conversing with an idot that has a hard on for Zombie. This will be the last time I acknowledge you.How about u doing the same?

Jason2009

ahem Pike my comment about the new look was not about the cover picture of the book. In an article from IGN Michael was described sporting a new look at least in one scene of H2. I was referring to that.

Surely did not take long for the whiners to start all over again once a new headline about this movie has been posted. Someone get the xxl big pack of tissues. They will be needed.

Pikey: fuck off and die tool-bag. Jason2009: I ran out of tissues jerking off on your willing mom. WHINE, WHINE, WHINE, WHINE, WHINE, WHINE, WHINE-- Pike molests collies-- WHINE, WHINE, WHINE....whine.

Why would Michael be considered America's most notorious serial killer based on the events of the first film? Certainly there are some dudes in history who have stacked a higher and more gruesome body-count than that. Maybe Zombie's "realist" take on the character has him living in a universe where his murder spree is the most notorious. Nah. Lord: you crack me up. Nice Caddyshack reference while banging on that Pike dude.

Kennreaper I agree. It's a minor detail but why would they use an image from the first movie for the book cover? nobody ever took a picture of him in that mask. zombie could have come up with something more creative than this, or maybe not

MiskatonicU

Another thing I find very uneven having just watched the first one is Loomis seems to generally care about helping Myers. Even in the alternate ending Loomis is telling Michael he "failed him" and seems generally upset when the cops turn him into swiss cheese... yet both of the books this asshole pens about Myers calls him THE DEVIL. It makes Loomis' character out to be more of an entrepreneur who saw a financial advantage in trying to treat a patient like Michael. Hard to sympathize with a character like that... and he seems to be capitalizing even more in the second film. Thoughts?

bleed24

miskatonicu,It was hard for me to sympathize with any of the characters. This Loomis did such a poor interpretation of the original that it made it hard to watch. All the characters seemed like they were reading from a script.

Jason2009

That is basically what I already wrote above. I don't like it either that Loomis is that money and fame-hungry as he appears to be especially when he seemed to regret that at the end of H1. First he really seemed to care about Michael in the asylum scenes in H1,then he goes and writes the first book. I actually hated him for that. Then when Michael strikes again (when he breaks out and comes after Laurie and her friends I mean) Loomis seemed to regret his capitalistic behaviour and really care about Michael and Laurie. And now he goes and writes ANOTHER book? Thats just so wrong ,man. I love Zombies Halloween but not without questioning anything. And that is one of the few things I really don't like. Oh and Lord, you can jerk off on my mother all you want I really could not care less since I don't even know where she lives. You can fuck my whole damn family if you want. I really don't give a fuck cause they couldn't care less either.

Kennreaper and mav07, since the picture is that of him in the asylum, i think its just supposed to be a picture they took of him in the asylum, because the only time i remember seeing that picture is as a publicity still, and if it was in the movie then it wasn't that noticeable.

Umbilical Noose
7:09pm, March 21, 2009

and also, MiskantonicU, i think that Michael Myers is considered one of Americas most notorious serial killers because he killed his family as a child and that got him a lot of attention then because everyone was dumbfounded how a child that age could bring themselves to do such a thing, and then like 15 years later he breaks out and goes on another killing spree on Halloween of all times, the same time that he killed as a child, i think that if Michael Myers was a real person this would get a lot of media attention and he would definitely be very notorious. plus Loomis needs to sell books don't he? xD

Cool picture of the book, but I don't know about that new Myers House. Hopefully it looks so different because it's been remodeled since the first one. Otherwise it's like Halloween 5 all over again.
