While Lionsgate has been pumping out the horror lately, they've bumped the release of Peter and Michael Spierig's (Undead) long, long delayed vampire flick Daybreakers from its September 11 date all the way to January 9, 2010. It is 2016, and it has been 10 years since the plague transformed ordinary people into Vampires dependent on human blood for survival. As the human race nears extinction and the Vampire population grows desperate for blood, a group of rebel Vampires battle military forces to save the last vestiges of humanity.
I liked and admired what they did with Undead for such a small budget. But the wait on this film seems too long. I'm not getting a positive feeling for their sophomore venture.
