Could You Kill a Child? Watch a Clip From 'The Children'!

If you click on over Empire Online you can watch the first ever clips from Ghost House Underground and Lionsgate's forthcoming UK horror flick The Children (review). In the film directed by Tom Shankland (Waz), a relaxing Christmas vacation turns into a terrifying fight for survival as the children begin to turn on their parents. Believe me when I say, you do not want to miss this film when it hits DVD later this year!

I was never a fan of children killer movies but this one I might check out. looks like a good gore score in it, we'll see how this one pans out.

A "The Children" remake? No thanks. Never bothered with the first one. The concept doesn't sound scary at all.

Is it a remake of Who Could Kill a Child? or just a similar concept

Sounds horrible. Looks awful. Not scary.

I'd rather see a movie where the antagonist kills innocent children...and they show it graphically, rather than the children being the antagonists themselves.

Saw it in the cinema when it came out last year. Pretty good, though nothing special.

Much less than dazzled by the trailer. Looks like poo. I have to say regardless of how crappy something is, there will always be a fan of it.

It looks hilarious. Children killers just aren't very scary.

I completely agree Chariot. The only scary film that involved a child killer was the Excorcist. Kids aren't scary in the least. I still can't understand why people find the Omen to be all that scary, let alone the "horror classic" tag that people have slapped onto it over the years.

I will only go see it if all the children catch on fire or spontaneous combust which would be even better.

What child killer was in The Exorcist? Killer child, yes. Child killer, I think I skipped that part. It's the order you phrase something. The Children is about KILLER CHILDREN, not CHILD KILLERS. Cause, everytime you say "Child Killer", it's basically putting it in the same sense as Freddy Krueger. HE was a "child killer".

i've definitely seen worse movies than this one looks like it will be. i'll check it out.

i'd rather see a clip of "in the playground" though, i loved "who can kill a child" and am hoping they keep that same theme of children playing games and having fun at the expense of their parents' lives.

I think there is some major confusion here in these comments, this is **NOT** a remake! It's also one of the best films to be released in 2008 and certainly one of the scariest. For those in the USA, you really shouldn't miss this film because it's excellent and has a high level of tension running all the way through it. Seriously recommend seeing it!

THis is a totally awesome film! I saw it at it's world premier in october with tom shankland in attendence. It's NOT a remake. It's budget was so small and the kids in this were awesome! It takes me back to the cool 'evil kiddie' films like 'village of the damned', 'the bad seed', even 'bloody birthday'. This is one NOT to be missed. The trailer doesn't show how good this is. For me tom shankland is 2 for 2 for films at the moment. WAZ was SAW but without resorting to easy gimmicks, and this is taking a really simple concept and making it work even better.

Uh, so this is the world we live in. Even after an original horror movie is announced, by default people think it's a remake.

Well, there IS a movie from the early 80's called The Children as well, so people thinking this is a remake from the title alone have a reason to believe so. But yes, they do need to look into it further before posting remarks about it.
