I guess I'm on the late show with this one but it was well worth the wait. "The Children (The Day)" harkens back to films like the original "Village of the Damned" änd "Children of the Damned." These are some evil tots out to kick some major adult butt and boy do they ever. The acting is overall first rate although much of the cast are unknowns. It is shot beautifully capturing the wintery beauty of the Christmas holidays. What starts out as yuletide fun soon turns deadly whether it be by some kind of bacterial agent or just plain evil. Don't ask too many questions...just hang on for very fun ride.
