By now most of you (should) have seen Park Chan-wooks incredible Oldboy, along with the other two films in the franchise, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. For those of you who have witnessed the films in all of their glory, your level of anticipation for his latest film, Thirst, should be off the charts. Tonight the first trailer was discovered by CHUD over at YouTube and can be viewed beyond the break (without subtitled). What are your first thoughts?

The story finds Korea's leading man, Song Kang-ho (The Host), as a much-loved priest who becomes a vampire after a failed medical experiment; he becomes a tortured and depraved soul.

Possible translations for the captions:

'You shall not murder.'
'You shall not commit adultery.'
'You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.'
'Bloodlust disturbs his soul.'
last line : Vampires aren't immortal. Do you still want my blood?

Not sure about this one. The trailer is rather uninteresting.

I loved 'Oldboy' and 'Sympathy For Lady Vengeance', still haven't seen 'Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance' unfortunately, and enjoyed 'I'm A Cyborg, But That's OK!' Park Chan-Wook is a genius, so I'll be checking this out for sure!

One of my favorite directors working today. Can't wait for this one. Do we have a US release date?

Lame trailer in any language, but i'm a fan of asian horror so i'll probably end up checking it out anyway.

Not a whole lot going on in the trailer, but we see some amazing shots and it is done by one of the premiere directors working today. Coupled with a decent cast, I am there.

A priest giving up to his innermost feelings of sexual fullfillment.Sounds interesting to me!

Perhaps the greatest director in the world today and I do not say this lightly. The most anticipated film, for me, in quiet some time. If you haven't ssen 'I'm A Cyborg, but that's OK1" you should! His Vengence trilogy stand's alone, especially "Sympathy for..."
