Update: Margot Kidder Joins 'H2', New Title?

Update: Zombie edited his blog removing the new title, so we'll keep you posted as the new title is officially revealed. Well known nutter and one of my favorite actresses from the 70's, Margot Kidder (The Amityville Horror, Sisters, Superman, Black Christmas), has joined the cast of Rob Zombie's Halloween sequel, which apparently has been given a new name. "Margot Kidder has joined Halloween - The Devil Walks Among Us as Laurie Strode's therapist Barbara Collier," writes Zombie on his official blog. I wasn't a big fan of the moniker H2 and think Halloween: The Devil Walks Among Us is a pretty solid new title. Shooting is now underway in Georgia as Dimension has the film slated for release on August 28.

I like the title. Way better then H2. I mean H2 was simple and it worked, but this new one just sounds better.

It's not that it's bad. It's just really cliche'd.

I would hardly call Michael Meyers the devil. What's wrong with plain old 2? Or some play on the old "night he came home" tag line?

By the way, Ms. Kidder is a terrific actress.

HALLOWEEN - THE NIGHT HE DIDN'T COME HOME! HALLOWEEN - MICHAEL MEETS MARGOT! Two possible titles right there

Not a fan of the new title. I thought H2 was much better. Simple and effective. Halloween: The Devil Walks Among Us? C'mon, sounds like the title of one of Dr. loomis' new books...whcih it would be more fitting as.

what's wrong with just Halloween 2? it may not be original but it's the only thing that works.

Better than having to have H2 with (2009) after it.

MARGOT KIDDER????? God am I in heaven?? I am of one Earths BIGGEST Superman fans ever, so this is TOTALLY AWESOME for me!!! Of course Margots most legendary role ever was Lois Lane and she did such a great job with it. Although I have to admit that I am not so much a fan of the classic superman (1938-1985) which is the one that can bee seen in the films but almost only of the Modern day superman (1986-present) which is portrayed in the modern day comic books and of course in the best TV show ever,SMALLVILLE. By the way Margot appeared in two episodes of Smallville (Season 4,Episodes 067 Crusade and 072 Transference). Crusade was also the episode who introduced Lois Lane to the show played by THE best Lois Lane ever in history,Erica Durance. Okay but I am drifting away from the topic here (sry when it comes to superman and smallville I just lose myself in my passion for it). It is so awesome that Margot plays a role in H2 and as Lauries psychiatrist!! Amazing. Rob I LOVE YOU man!! And I think the new title is very cool. It returns to the roots of the Halloween formula that Michael is the Devil on two legs and I love that the title captures that. But of course some people have to whine about that again. They are not happy if they cannot at least whine once a day about anything related to this movie. And those who say that the title would sound silly, rmember the titles for part 5 or 6. I prefer "The Devil walks among us" A LOT before The Revenge or the Curse of Michael Myers.

I kinda liked the H2 title :( The new one sounds sort of cheesy. I hope they change it to something shorter.

If youve been following the news of H2, then youd know that, "The Devil Walks Among Us" is indeed the name of Dr Loomis' new book.... i wouldnt set this title in stone, i can see teh title changing at least 2 more times before its relesed... this is just gonna be another cloverfield when it comes to the title of the movie.

Yeah I just remembered that actually. And I think it shoud stay as that, and not be the title of the movie. BTW, Rob has removed it from his blog entry now. Either it wasn't supposed to be announced yet, or they were just trying it out.

This is soooo cool! I had the luckiest opportunity to meet Margot at a convention and she is so nice. I am also a big fan of the original Superman movies, Amityville Horror and Black Christmas. I can't wait to see her in this! Woo-hoo! :D

I love the title, although I wish he would still keep the 2 in it, but oh well. A I like Margot Kidder so it's cool that she will have a part in it.

Wow. Love Margot Kidder, this is great casting news. She rocked in Black Christmas and the Superman movies. Hopefully Rob gives her a role she can really sink her teeth into. The new title, well its better than H2
