Being produced by David Fincher is the feature film adaptation of Eric Powell's The Goon. Announced at the San Diego Comic Con last July, no other details were revealed about the project. This morning I woke up to a major surprise, AICN has posted the first two hi-res images from the project that follows the adventures of the Goon, a muscle-bound brawler who claims to be the primary enforcer for the feared mobster Labrazio. The Goon (and his sidekick Franky) often get tied up in other machinations, often in relation to the evil zombie gangs under the command of the Nameless Zombie Priest.
It looks really good. I've never read The Goon (I should probably be shot for typing that,) but I've heard nothing but praise for it. Fincher's involvement in this project only heightens my anticipation.
