Bloody-Disgusting has earned exclusively this afternoon that Chase Wright Vanek (pictured beyond the break) is now on set in Georgia shooting scenes as the new young Michael Myers in Rob Zombie's H2, his sequel to the Halloween reboot from 2007. He (unfortunately) replaces Daeg Faerch who apparently grew to a height taller than Sheri Moon since the last film hit theaters. H2 is slated for release on August 28 from DImension Films.
The original kid looked like a fat girl? Wow, really? He probably thinned out a bit since then, more than likely, but I wouldn't say he was ever "fat". And i think the girlish looks add to the creepiness factor. And its probably true about the flashbacks, it's just to give Sheri some screen time.
He looks younger that Daeg in the first one.I guess the flashbacks will be before it? idk i just think the whole thing has been done! Move on or let Laurie have flashbacks.He told Michaels story which was way too much because he wasn't scary anymore.I just miss the old Michael and old Laurie.Jamie lee rulled that character!
Daeg was good, but this kid actually looks more like what I would expect for a young Michael Myers. If it had to be done, then I say it looks like a great choice.
i like THIS kid WAY better than Daeg (sorry Daeg). he has an innocent look like the original Michael did in Carpenter's movie. EXCELLENT casting (at least look-wise) Rob!
