Vampire Diaries sounds like a teen "Tru Blood." Cue rolling of eyes.

I actually liked "True Blood." But I have a weakness for vampire novels and movies, so when I heard about this series in the making (even though it is labeled "young adult"), I bought the book. So far, it's really awful. The characters are flat and shallow and the events are so simple and boring. The main character is extremely vain and vacuous... basically a bimbo. :) The dialog is unrealistic and takes a stretch of the imagination to believe that anyone anywhere would ever talk like that - let alone act as the characters do. I hope I can get through the rest of the book. I don't have a lot of hope for a TV series based on such an empty and amateurish book.

for anyone who dosnt know Vampire Diares is a 2 book story and is greatly written and she looks just like anna should however i do not think the CW is a great place for this show,i much rather think it should be made into a movie but not so over done like that twilight bullshit,the books are great and are sort of orginal and NOT a copy of twilgight,so if your looking for a good read before the CW most likely rips it to shreds then pick up the 2 books
