New Line Cinema announced today that they will release their reboot of A Nightmare on Elm Street in theaters on April 16, 2010. Shooting for the remake begins next month in Chicago with Samuel Bayer behind the camera. In other news, Final Destination: Death Trip 3D will hit theaters a week earlier than original planned. You can check it out in cinemas everywhere on August 14. David R. Ellis returns to the franchise with a film that kicks off when a teenager's premonition of a deadly racecar crash spares his life and those of a few lucky others. But death continues to stalk those who escaped it.

I think we all know how "Fnal Destination 4" will turn out. That franchise re-uses the same plot more than the "Saw" movies.

Shooting starts next month with no actor yet set to be Freddy?? I have the worst feeling about this movie. I still don't believe that Englund can be replaced. Couldn't care less about Final Destination. I could find better ways to blow $13.

If they're starting shooting for Elm Street next month, they've already had mostly everyone set including the guy for Freddy, and since there aren't any rumors other than Jakie, it just goes to prove that they're at least moving forward with him as the main candidate for the role.

If shooting for Nightmare is starting next month then of course they have their Freddy and I think its safe to say it's Jackie.

i like the final destination movies but yeah the plots getting boring now and glamming it up to 3d wont change it!!! I have a VERY bad feeling on the noes remake Englund cant be replaced but its [rob jackie bad choice for me!

Who cares about the plots to the Final Destination movies... of course they're bad. Those movies are all about the death scenes with a little bit of story thrown in.

KISSman, How do u know there is no cast yet? Just because we havent heard anything dont mean they havent cast anyone yet. I am looking forward to the remake of nightmare. If its as good as F13th was then i am happy.

i agree with the few people on here. how can they start shooting with no offical word on who krueger is going to be? (unless it is jackie(....part of me hope it fails bc to me it just breaks my heart that they want to ruin a classic. BUT hopefully (it prob wont be since they changed the charecter names except for nancys) they prove me wrong and its decent like how the jason remake was. then id pay the 13 bucks to see it.

Its going to be weird seeing another Freddy. How much you wanna bet he looks like Kane - like Michael Myers and Jason - some oversized guy with some overdramatic look...

In NY its 13 bucks

When is the fuckin trailer for FD-3D going to be released? It was supposed to be shown with My Bloody Val3D and wasnt. FUCK Nightmare on Elm Street remake. I take a shit on the Friday the 13th remake and plan on taking a dump on this waste of millions. Why cant they use the millions on some shitty kid friendly remake and apply they money toward updated graphics to the original series, I.E. Star Wars?

Just fuck America and their stupid remakes since all originality has been lost. Remaking everything that doesnt need it. Look at Let the Right On In. No need to remake this. But stupid mother fuckers keep spending cash on this shit. SO they keep shitting them out.

Maybe it is Robert and he's just not saying anything. That would be great fingers crossed.

And Robert Knepper or Ben Foster for Freddy

Bring on the nightmare

Jason2009
11:24am, March 5, 2009

I bet Tim Allen plays Freddy *looool* He can grunt at his victims and appear as Freddy "the Razor glove-man" Krueger. Oh and Jason is his assistant ("and you all know my assistant Jason "can't find a better job" Vorhees") and his Glove-Girl is Laurie Strode ("Does anybody know what time it is? -Psycho Time"). And then the movie is called "Nightmare Improvement"

We all know FD4 got moved up a week because of H2. Gives it another week before H2 is released.

Like Final Destination would be a match for a Halloween movie...Michael will slaughter the competition

UNRATED: How exactly did you get to "fuck America" from a NOES remake? Nothing makes me laugh at people more than forced national hatred. Hollywood is a small portion of America, please keep in mind. Mav07, it costs 10-15 bucks to see a movie in Colorado. ARTICLE: It sure seems rushed and un-thought out, this here remake. Of a goddamn classic. Say what you will about the Friday remake, they obviously put a lot of thought into it. Couple years, anyway. Seems like just a month ago that NOES was elevated from rumor to actual project, now they film in a month. I predict a big sloppy pile of ass.

Can't wait for both movies. They're going to be awesome!

I can't wait for both of these. I'll definately be there for both.
