Michael Brandt and Derek Haas have signed on to adapt upcoming Richard Doetsch novel The Thirteenth Hour for New Line Cinema and producer Michael De Luca. New Line acquired the book last fall, which follows a man accused of murdering his wife who gets to go back in time -- in one-hour increments over 12 hours -- with the chance to stop his wife's killer. Haas said the book "is a fast-paced thriller with a supernatural twist and characters who really pop." I'm sold. The novel will be published by Atria for those of you who still read.
Wow, sounds eerily similar to the plot of an X-Files episode in season 8 Called Redrum which aired back in 2000. I am sure that ultimately they will not be too similar, but its amazing who few original ideas exist anymore.
I was just thinking "Wasn't that an X-Files episode guest starring Joe Morton?"
