Right off the success of New Line’s Friday the 13th reboot, Danielle Panabaker is heading back to the horror genre as she’ll be starring in Breck Eisner’s remake of The Crazies where she’ll play a receptionist at the town’s medical center. The Ruins star Joe Anderson has also been cast as the town’s deputy. Timothy Olyphant stars as the town sheriff. The remake of the classic George A. Romero film is set to begin principle photography March 5 in Georgia, with additional shooting to take place in Iowa. The script, by Scott Kosar and Ray Wright, centers on the inhabitants of a small Kansas town who are beset by death and insanity after a plane crash lets loose a secret biological weapon into the water supply.
