You're going to need to either shut or die, as the Canadian horror film Pontypool features actor Stephen McHattie as a small-town radio station DJ who discovers that recent madness in the local population may be caused by a virus transmitted through speech. The film hits Canadian theaters on March 6th, but for those of you interesting in the film can check it out on both VOD and limited theaters here in the States on May 29th from IFC Films. You can get an early look at the film by checking out the four clips inside.
looks like it will be a pretty entertaining film and that is all that really matters. sounds like a very good written script with nice dialouge.I will watch this on video when it comes out.
Didn't anybody read the Stephen King book CELL? great book with twist about virus(?) spread thru a cell phone message you listen to. Hopefully not a crappy knock off. though really hasn't been too many good makes of his books.
This is actually based on a book with very good buzz called Pontypool Changes Everything which I think came out in 1998. So yeah the idea itself is older than it sounds. I'm going to see it.
