While she was smart enough to produce Donnie Darko, I don't know how I feel about her getting behind the camera for such a big movie. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that actress-turned-helmer Drew Barrymore is among a select group of directors being considered to get behind the camera for The Twilight Saga's Eclipse, the third film adaptation in the Twilight franchise. Barrymore or her reps wouldn't comment. While I'm hoping for the best, I can't say that I don't feel like this whole franchise is turning into a circus freak show (rumors of Dakota Fanning, the Olsen twins and Madonna joining the cast). Is this a joke? An early april fools day joke? Drew Barrymore, directing a movie?! Why are they looking for a third director? The current director must be saying "wtf," already thinking about a new director??? This whole Twilight thing is just stupid and pisses me off!
Well Drew is one of my favorite actresses and I have no doubt she could pull it off! plus she has a wide range from romance to horror and the whole Twilight stuff is basically that so I hope she does.I guess we will really see how good of a director she is when Whip It comes out....
Agreed. Why not? If she screws it up, she screws it up. And there have been plenty of crossover actors into directing that did just fine, if not better at directing than acting. Let's give it a shot and see how it goes.
people if we stop posting, maybe b-d will stop covering twilight. we can argue how much twilight is not horror, but if we dont read it or respond to it, it may go away.
