If it wasn't enough that Guillermo del Toro produced the flick, the incredible mind of Vincenzo Natali (Cube, Nothing) is behind Senator Entertainment's Splice, which stars Adrien Brody, Sarah Polley, Delphine Chaneac, David Hewlett and Brandon McGibbon. But don't let the names sell you on this sci-fi/thriller in the vein of Species, beyond the break you'll find an exclusive look at 6 hi-res stills from the film that are nothing short of spectacular. What do you think? Watch for this in theaters around September.
UPDATE: Three images removed by Senator Entertainment
The film is about Elsa and Clive, two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new organism. Named Dren, the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into a beautiful but dangerous winged human-chimera, who forges a bond with both of her creators - only to have that bond turn deadly.
Perhaps I'll finally get my wish, to see Adrien Brody dismembered. Let's fucking hope. That dude sucks at life and he and M. Night still owe me $10.50 for that abomination The Village.
come on, you gotta blame M. Night alone for The Village. Brody did the Pianist and Darjeeling Limited. i think those make up for it... but these stills pretty much have me sold on this movie. and ive always thought Sarah Polley was cute as hell after seeing her in the DOTD remake.
Dude, that looks awesome! I´m not gonna call her any names, but Im sure we all think of one, close to "Ëraserhead"??..
She looks cute on the 4th pic, though..
These stills look very interesting. You know, I've never seen 'The Village'. But I do want my money back for the piece of shit that was 'The Happening'!
It looks like a pretty average sci-fi movie. The only reason to see it is because of the names behind it. Perhaps they'll have something to bring to the table, but, really, it just appears to be a Species rip-off. Generic sci-fi. Who cares? I certainly don't.
