While Howard McCain's Outlander has already made its limited theatrical run thanks to Third Rail Releasing, the film is already planning a Blu-ray/DVD release within the next few months. For those of you who want to see more from the film, which stars Mr. Jesus himself (Jim Caviezel), we've got a link to dozens of hi-res stills beyond the break. During the reign of the Vikings, Kainan (Jim Caviezel), a man from a far-off world, crash lands on Earth, bringing with him an alien predator known as the Moorwen. Though both man and monster are seeking revenge for violence committed against them, Kainan leads the alliance to kill the Moorwen by fusing his advanced technology with the Viking's Iron Age weaponry.

I've got the movie and I have to admit it just didn't really work for me. It has a futuristic twist on a story line similar to the 13th Warrior. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either.

It was a mix of The 13th Warrior and Predator. As a big John McTiernan fan this was a worthy homage and a fun film on it's own. An honest effort for a monster movie; it looks good and entertains. As absurd as the plot sounds, it actually works, despite some moments of acceptable dumb that's common for this genre. I'm buying it.

Jim Caviezal is outstanding as usual bringing his own credibility to this film.this movie is closely related to 13th warrior and predator but does not measure up to either film, however it is a solid watch with a good story, good FX and a strong supporting cast to compliment J.C's acting ability, john hurt does not shine as a warrior king as he may be wise but just a bit frail, ron perlman as gunnar is solid as a norsman war chief. overall a good film, much better than i imagined.if you like the mctiernan 13th warrior or predator franchise you should enjoy this film.
