Last week you finally got to feast your eyes on the teaser trailer (also inside), now beyond the break you'll find the first official stills from Filmax's REC 2, the sequel to the incredibly creepy Spanish horror film that hs already been remade here in the States under the title Quarantine. Now here's the real question, will we get to see Jaume Balaguero and Paco Plaza's sequel to the groundbreaking film before the original even makes it on DVD here in the States? Sony, come on already!

I refuse to see Quarantine until [REC] is released in the States. On Blu-ray preferably. Both the teaser and the images are cool. Maybe a side-by-side release of [REC] and [REC] 2 is being planned?
i watched REC online about 6 months ago (i'm from the States) and i really liked it. i JUST watched Quarantine a couple of days ago and it wasn't bad at all. of course Q is a (pretty much) shot for shot of REC, so it didn't really have to try THAT hard. Jennifer C. was EXCELLENT. i'm all in for REC 2! looks good so far!
You know; if you go on Ebay you can get a region free dvd player. And Amazon UK has the 2 disk special edition of REC for sale. Not saying that I have done that. Wink wink. Shit sorry, there's something in my eye here.
Dude!!!! are you fucking serious!!!! I thought quarrantine was good and I'm missing the original. This is bullshit they're already working on a new one and no release for the first. Where did the break down in comm or $$$ happen?????
Watched [REC] a couple of weeks ago -- sometimes it pays to be a Canadian, I guess! Didn't know what it was, just rented it because it had gotten rave reviews here, so imagine my surprise when I discovered that it was Quarantine en Espanol! Oh well, at least I don't have to rent Quarantine now...
The original film was great, I can't see how a sequel can work. Let's hope they stop at 2, and turn this into a franchise (though I'm sure it will). Also, does that mean there will be another pointless "Quarantine" film then?
