THE HORSEMEN

Quaid will play a bitter detective grieving over his wife's recent death. While investigating a case, he discovers a shocking connection between himself and the suspects in a serial killing spree linked to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. As Breslin grapples with each new revelation in the case, he slowly discovers a shocking connection between himself and the four suspects. Four Horsemen. Four unrelated victims. Four painful secrets. Come and See.

THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT

In the tradition of such real-life horror movies as 'The Exorcist' and 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose', THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT tells the astounding true story of one family's supernatural ordeal. When Sara and Peter Campbell's son Matt is diagnosed with cancer, they uproot their family to Connecticut for his treatment. As the family settles into their new home, Matt grows increasingly disturbed by paranormal activity that seems to inhabit and possess the house. At a loss to help her frightened family, his mother turns to an enigmatic priest who appears to rid the house of its ghosts-- until the boy's condition takes a sudden and unexplained turn for the worse and their lives are put in grave danger.

This sounds like the oh so typical possession story and I saw the trailer that looked like it showed the whole movie. Not really my cup o joe. Maybe a rental some day. Maybe.

Cathedral opf Demoni, typical possession story? As opposed to what? Your typical zombie movie? Or typical slasher flick? Or typical Ghost story? Or typical Asian horror film? The list goes on. Can't wait for this one :)

I am admittably not a big fan of Quiad when he does horror films. I will admit that he is a good actor, but it always seems that when he is in a horror film, he hams it up way too much. However, upon reading the plot for this film and seeing the picture, I will admit that I will, more than likely, see this film because it does look interesting and I hope, and I mean hope, that Dennis doesn't ham it up. As far as Haunting goes, I have been a fan of that since the beginning, due to the fact that the plot and trailer make the film look very interesting and that I love Virginia Madsen as an actress, and can't wait to see it this March.

I think 'Haunting' has potential. I watched the Discovery channel doc on the supposedly "true" story and it gave me the creeps more than I'd like to admit. I think if handled correctly it could be a killer movie. I think the trailer is fantastic and the music accompanying it is unnerving as hell. My buddy pointed out, and I wholly agree, that the biggest problem with the trailer is the use of CGI scares. The blue face that pops at the end is lame... the POLTERGEIST II gunk spewing out of the boy is lame... all of that can be done with practical effects and be much scarier. I think the shot of the shadow in the doorway after the guy turns the television off is one of the best scares in the whole thing. I'll hold out hope for this one. This does sort of remind me of how excited I was for 'An American Haunting'... and that turned out to be really bad.

I'm not too excited for the "A Haunting in Connecticut" movie. I love the "A Haunting" show, but the movie looks like an exact remake of that. The Horsemen looks interesting.

I thought Connecticut looked kinda lame. Too many jump type scares and it seemed a bit tweenish, but the audience I was with just ATE up the trailer, so I guess I dont know much about mainstream haunting movies. :-( I DO want to see Horsemen though. I loved se7en, so im excited about this.

Kid, I mean typical as in family moves in house, Strange things start happening in the form pointless quick scares and creepy images all of which appear in the trailer. Cast screams, runs around and says "Oh my god what's happening"? I've seen it to many times and it's just not my thing. But I hope you enjoy it. Have a nice day.
