While Bruce McDonald's Pontypool is prepping for release internationally in the next month, IFC Films plans on releasing the film here in the States May 29th. Today we got our hands on the international one sheet for the film, which follows a small-town radio station discovers that recent madness in the local population may be caused by a virus transmitted through speech. While the movie isn't the best (read our review), it's still a pretty cool concept that most of you will dig.
I would suggest ignoring the bafflingly small-minded review and checking out one of the best movies of last year when it hits screens. If you don't, you'll be missing out on a highly intelligent, very fun flick.
Looks fantastic.
I saw this film at TIFF and have been dying to see it again. Highly recommended.
