Dafoe, Sevigny to Topline Lynch's 'My Son'

Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road, Bug), the incredible Willem Dafoe (Daybreakers, Anamorph, American Psycho) and the intriguingly beautiful Chloe Sevigny (Zodiac, The Killing Room) have all signed on to star in Werner Herzog's psychological horror tale My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done, reports Production Weekly. Son is loosely based on the true story of a San Diego man who acts out a Sophocles play in his mind and kills his mother with a sword. The low-budget feature will flash back and forth from the murder scene to the disturbed man's story. A guerrilla-style digital video shoot on Coronado Island is tentatively set for March.

It's been a while since DL has done a movie that made any goddamn since. Judging from his work on 'Inland Impire' I wish he would ditch the digital aproch. I don't mind the man experimenting, but 'Inland' just looked bad.

Isn't that the chic who gave that geek a bj (yeah, it shows it... it's a real bj)in that very stupid movie Brown Bunny. IMDB, says it is. I'm not joking. Inland Empire sucked. Blue Velvet RULES. "You know what a love letter is f....." Chloe does.

Herzog's awesome. Hope it's good. Yeah, I thought Brown Bunny was nuts Bukowski. Hmmm, I'm gonna make a film starring myself, playing a sex addict, and I wan't to cast a hot starlet to give me a real bj. I hope someone falls for it. Hey Chloe, wattaya doing lately, wanna make a real deep artsy flick with me?

way to write articles effectively and make sure you mentioned that Lynch (David, yeah the cinema god one) is executive producer on this project. Are you the same guy that typed that Argento created the giallo that one time? ;) And for people reading who don't know about the film industry, that means that all Lynch is doing is putting money up, not necessarily getting creatively involved. I'm not a davidlynch.com subscriber so I don't know the real skinny, seems like there has been too much rumor surrounding this project since that big rumor that Lynch was going to direct. Maybe has something to do with misleading bloggers and their slyly worded posts that just try to pull in more hits.....

Giallo was popularized in film by Argento. I would agree that gialli existed beforehand in written media, but Argento brought it to film.

Hey Stinger, no Shite sherlock. I think we all know what a producer dose on a film... or we wouldn't be blogging on a film site (yeah, we all film geeks). Guess what else duche bag.... Lynch probably likes his work at least or he wouldn't put the money up for the project. Who's to say Lynch isn't the guys mentor; he may have gave the guy some suggestions. We are just commenting on lynche's work, because his name is ivolved and it gives us the chance to say something about him. Pull your head out of ya arse.
