The vampires of True Blood are also coming to high-def, with Warner announcing a May 12th Blu-ray debut for the complete first season of the hit HBO series, reports High Def Digest. A critical and ratings winner for the cable network, the Alan Ball-created vampire series will make its Blu-ray debut on May 19 (day-and-date with the standard DVD) via the Warner/HBO Home Video label. True Blood: The Complete First Season will present all 12 first season episodes spread across five BD-50 dual-layer discs. Specs will see 1080p/VC-1 video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio. No extras have ben revealed yet, but we can guarantee much more enjoyment than Summit's Twilight.
True Blood™ chronicles the backwoods Louisiana town of Bon Temps...where vampires have emerged from the coffin, and no longer need humans for their fix. Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin, Academy Award®-winner for "The Piano") works as a waitress at the rural bar Merlotte's. Though outwardly a typical young woman, she keeps a dangerous secret: she has the ability to hear the thoughts of others.
'but we can guarantee much more enjoyment than Summit's Twilight'.
hahahaha understatement of the year! This is a human falls in love with a vampire tale done proper. If you haven't been introduced to Sookie Stackhouses' world yet do so now! This show is brilliant
I was instantly hooked on this show. Can't wait for the next season.
