Mr. Thompson, your opinion is as valid as mine or anybody's. It's all about personal taste. That being said, I don't really think that he has failed to make a film that impressed you due to his being "lazy". Do you think he just coasts along, not giving a damn how they turn out? Something tells me he is as passionate about his filmmaking as he is about his music. I have really enjoyed and respected his films up to now. Devils'Rejects is certainly one of my favorite flicks ever. Perhaps it is his style and thematic approach that do not reach you; that is up to you. But I don't really think that he has not as yet seen fit to "produce". Perhaps you should rather describe yourself as a fan of his music but not of his filmmaking prowess. These flicks are a reflection, I think, of his individual approach to, and passion for, his films. Do you really think he has just been playing around with them? But as I say, it is just my point of view.
