Do You Think This Should Be the New Pinhead?

I hate campaign pieces, but here's your chance to chime in on Dimension Films' forthcoming remake of Hellraiser, which has Martyrs director Pascal Laugier going behind the camera. Beyond the break you can check out what the new Pinhead will look like should Hellraiser FX vet Gary J. Tunnicliffe return to the franchise. Obviously no decisions have been made yet, which is why this is a campaign piece. It should be clear that this is NOT the new Pinhead as of this writing. So make sure you chime in beyond the break and tell Dimension Films whether or not you like this new rendition of Pinhead, also known as "Project Angel".

I don't understand why he has to be so "extreme", why can't Pinhead look like Pinhead?

MrDisgusting

And the more I think about it, he looks like Sam Niell from Event Horizon

that's nu-metal-tastic, and i mean that in the worst way possible.

Some things just work......some don't. I agree with the Sam Neil comparison though.

wow its pretty unanimous that those pics suck. I didnt mind at first, but then i noticed the white clothing. he supposed to be a ninja or something? Ryu as pinhead? If they take the leather and the SM aspect out of hellraiser it will just be another stupid demon movie

This one sucks. It definately does look like that Weir monster in Event Horizon.

the cuts are asymmetrical and the blood is a bit overboard - the original pinhead (white face) is def much better.

SUCKS!!!!! I don't see how anyone would ever think that actually looks good. It just sucks!!!

I find it creepier and scarier than the original one.

I registered just for this article. This is the worst thing I have ever seen. Why does everything these days have to have a "extreme" design? Please try again.

NO!! NO!! NO!! Absolutely horrible! I have actually been excited for this remake. Back to the drawing board Dimension Films. This is frickin disappointing.

I seem to remember that in the original novela, Pinhead was female, or at least had a female voice. Could be an opportunity to do something quite different.

Im not totally against it. It's just hard cause the original is so good looking. I like the blood flow on him at all times thats cool I love the icey white/blue eyes thats sic. I think more nails and shorter not so long on the face. I think if you went with the original grid on the face the lines should be like these where they look like big open gashes. Im not sure if this is him becoming pinhead and thats why he is in white? However I think the clothes are a tough call white blood soaked could be cool, but then the black leather is so good to. Its tough Im not against this remake at all just hope it's gonna be done right. Also on the original the idea was to have just the nails the lines were used as markers as to where the nails would go. Clive loved the grid so they left it. Maybe try the classic without the lines. Like I said though love the open gashes on the face.

Those pics are lame. The original Pinhead worked on the creepy level the way it was intended to. Clive Barker wrote the book and made the movie. Who else knows better on how Pinhead should look? The blood and abrasions also make him look not so much invisible....

If i remember from the book Pinhead didn't even speak, he was merely a mute Cenobite like Butterball and Chatterer. I remember the book describing him with pins in his head, not sure about the face, to me i figured it was a symbolic reference to the thorn crown of Jesus as the 'Pinhead Cenobite' isn't described from head to toe.

What the hell is this? this is why I absolutely hate modern screenplay, everyone has to make a remake of an amazing original, and then they just end up raping it. And what the hell is with the white straight jacket he's wearing? what next? is the Chatterer going to have Humongous eyes, is female going to be "Male" and is Butterball going to be toothpick? GOD I hate modernization.
