We caught wind this afternoon of a new indie horror film that stars Danielle Harris (of Halloween fame), Brian Krause, Lance Henriksen (Aliens), Doug Jones (Hellboy) and Rae Dawn Chong. From Moonstone Entertainment comes Mark Vadik's CYRUIS, whcih is filled with reenacted documentary footage of forensic experts, serial killers, police authorities and survivors. It presents a simultaneously beautiful and horrific examination of the destructive nature of cause and effect leading to the creation of a serial killer. Read on for a synopsis and early art.
Inspired by a true story, a small independent news crew, made up of reporter Maria Consolo and her camera man Tom, investigates a series of unexplained disappearances in a small Midwestern county. The story leads them to the isolated town of Arkham Heights, where they find themselves interviewing Emmett who possesses an all too intimate knowledge of the details of "The County Line Cannibal" - Cyrus. As Emmett inter-weaves the macabre life tale of the most prolific serial killer in the history of the United States with the story of Cyrus' last three victims, Maria comes closer and closer to the greatest story of her life – or what's left of it.
just me but I thought it was strange you used Lance Henriksen (Aliens), instead of Lance Henriksen (Pumpkin Head)sorry just being a picky bastard tonight.
This movie sounds like a winner! Awesome cast, Doug Jones was awesome in 'Fear Itself's Skin and Bones, Lance Hendriksen is good in everything, Danielle is the youngest scream queen, and Brian Krause, who can forget him in 'Sleepwalkers!
The girl in the poster picture is Anne Marie Leighton. The Cyrus website has her acting as "Vicky" one of the three girl kidnaped by Cyrus. Cannot wait to see her in the movie.
I cant wait to see this movie.. I've gotten to meet Brian Danielle, and Lance and they are all really down to earth people who are very good at what they do. I hope this movie scares me big time..
