I respectfully disagree with icehockeyjoel. I think this is just what the character needs. If you're going to reboot the series, reboot the character too; but not in a way that makes him unrecognizable.

I agree with icehockeyjoel. Jason isn't supposed to be this smart kinda killer, he just kills mindlessly.But I gotta say at the end of the bait scene he looks really badass and even if this is different it still looks amazing so far.

I will say the "just wants to be left alone" thing is a little weird. "Oh we have this maniac murder running around out there, just leave him alone and it's all good." haha That had a little tcm feel to it, a little backwoods for New Jersey if you ask me. She should have said "Yo yo yo yo, don't fuck wit dat guy out dare. Yo sistuh, she probly in duh bottum of duh fuckin lake so just let it go." Still pretty excited though...days are slowly going by!

The 'just wants to be left alone' clip is odd as disanti has pointed out but i'm loving the third clip. Lets not forget Jason is human and fully capable of setting traps etc.

Camp crystal lake is Jasons Territory...The he just wants to be left alone make sense to me. They are now in his woods...

When in Friday 2-4 did Jason march into a cabin and slaughter everybody? He picked them off one by one. Jason has used dead bodies as traps many times. Something is tripped, the body falls, and the person screams. Jason then knows where his victim is. In Part 4, he nailed Jimmy to the door so that nobody would leave the house through the kitchen.

Are you people nuts? This is EXACTLY what this series needs! A Jason who is scary, cunning, and "defending his turf". I knew they were on the right track when the describe Jason as a villainous Rambo. That's exactly how I always imagined him. He DOES want to be left alone. If you enter his territory, you're toast! The Jason character in Parts II & IV was exactly that. A crazed, deformed, serial killing, survivalist, who wants to punish all outsiders who invade his sacred turf. That's Friday the 13th and that is Jason Voorhees! So far I say bravo Platinum Dunes. My only complaint is that the woman in clip one feels a little too TCM to me (and that is NOT a good thing).

It makes me wonder if people have ever actually seen F13. this is what it/s all about. This is going to be awesome.

Honestly, have some of you guys actually seen these movies all the way through? Did you just fast-forward to all the kill scenes and skip everything in-between? Jason has ALWAYS been a hunter. He has ALWAYS set traps. Stop mouthing off about what you think you know about Jason and the series and actually go back and WATCH the damn movies. I swear, sometimes horror "fans" are their own worst enemies.

also again with the left alone clip it makes perfect sense if u watched the other movies,jason is only their because he wants to avenge his mothers death to those who visit camp crystal lake
