Arriving in limited theaters April 3rd is Roadside Attractions Alien Trespass (trailer), which has been receiving some pretty positive buzz. Beyond the break you can check out 17 stills from the film, set in 1957. ALIEN TRESPASS chronicles a fiery object from space that crashes into a mountaintop in the California desert, bringing the threat of disaster to Earth. Out of the flying saucer escapes a murderous creature – the Ghota, which is bent on destroying all life forms on the planet. A benevolent alien from the spaceship, Urp, inhabits the body of Ted Lewis (Eric McCormack) – a local astronomer – and with the help of Tammy, (Jenni Baird) a waitress from the local diner, sets out to save mankind.
It interesting to see a film that feels like the year it takes place. It looks like a film that would come from the early 60's, and for that matter I will probally go see it.
I would actually pay to see this in a theater. It has almost a Mars Attacks look to it but with a Fido feel. The kind of film that doesn't take itself too seriously and you can just sit back, laugh, have fun, and just let your mind go blank for an hour and a half.
Isn't this what Lost Skeleton of Cadavra did earlier and (apparently) better?
